ABOUT ME
Hello, I'm Mehak Basu!
Thank you for your interest in my work!
I am an Indian tattoo artist based out of New York. Over the years I've practiced a few mediums, as well as getting my Fine Arts degree with a concentration in oil painting and a minor in art history.
I particularly like the tattooing industry because its fascinating to me. To have an art form where we carry meaningful symbolism around on our bodies with us can be cathartic in many ways.
Styles that I enjoy are anything botanical/floral, pattern work, black-work, whimsical/folklore/fairy tale, animal/insect pieces, surrealism, goddesses/women heads, trippy psychedelic, skulls/witchy, and ornamental.
I do accept other styles as well but if I feel like I am not the artist for you, I'll suggest other talented ones I know.

Was tattooed by Mehak today! Picked a piece off of her flash sheet and it was beautifully transferred to skin. She was incredibly friendly, kept checking in to make sure I was alright, and did a stunning job. I highly recommend her for all your tattoo needs!

This studio was beautiful and well kept! Very peaceful inside. I have 2 tattoos done by Mehak, and both times she did incredibly. She is super communicative, clean, and punctual. It felt like getting tattooed by a friend because she is super friendly & sweet. Also incredibly talented! She did a watercolor piece on my arm and I am in love with it. 10/10, will go again!! 💙💙
